Mark and Michelle wanted to capture the Riverina also known as “the food bowl of Australia” it’s sheer beauty of the Griffith Region, New South Wales, the heart of the Murrumbidgee that is home to so many traditions.
With a desire to find heritage in the Riverina plains, a family run team Mark and Michelle set out to create the highest quality spirits using locally sourced produce..
Botanical Profile
The Aisling Distillery's Triple Juniper Gin with Elderflower unlike the 51% distillation the 42.5% has a nice soft Elderflower nose and finish to the palate, the 42.5% enhances as slightly sharp on the palate initially, with the addition of Tonic or Soda Water the Elderflower opens to a nice slightly floral finish on the palate with the finish of Red Gum Murrumbidgee Honey to add to a long finish.
Apple, Elderflower & Gin
Ingredients
250ml Triple Juniper Gin with Elderflower
200ml Ederflower cordial
1L Cloudy Apple juice
Apple slices
Ice to serve
Method
In a jam jar, mix gin with cordial. When ready to serve, divide the mixture between 8 glasses, top up with apple juice, apple slices and ice.
Gin Gin Mule
Ingredients
30 - 60 ml Triple Juniper Gin with Elderflower
Cup full of ice
Dash of fresh lime juice
Ginger beer not stirred
Garnish with lime & mint leaf
Method
In a cocktail shaker, add the mint leaves, lime juice, and simple syrup. Muddle well to release the essence of the herbs. Add gin and fill the shaker with ice. Shake well.
Strain into a highball glass filled with fresh ice. Top with ginger beer. Garnish with a sprig of mint and lime.
Aperol Spritz Gin
Ingredients
60 ml Triple Juniper Gin with Elderflower
2 slices of cucumber
60 ml of Aperol
60 ml of lime juice
Splash of club soda
Lime to garnish
Method
Simply fill a tumbler with ice, then add Gin, Aperol, lime juice, club soda and a slice of lime. Garnish with cucumber slices and enjoy.
The Classic Gimlet
Ingredients
30-60mls Triple Juniper Gin with Elderflower
Dash of lime syrup
Ample ice
Method
Gimlet
Make a classic gimlet combining 30-60mls gin and a dash of lime syrup, stirred to the perfect dilution with lots of ice. A refreshing cocktail to enjoy with friends!
